Coons are sweet but the hair - it gets everywhere. Everywhere!And its a heaven for flees too. I think 'the Boys' - as my dad affectionately calls our two Maine Coons - would be much happier with shorter hair. Just think what a little diarrhea does, ever washed a cat's rear?

oursdon't seem to moult that much, no more than any other cat.
Our shorthair moggy is much worse for coating your clothes with hair than either of the Maine Coons.
