# I'm really afraid that our TV will turn into 'merikan TV.
Last time I was over there the adverts were so bad that during one movie the adverts didn't just suddenly appear as they always did (at least we have a second or so break between the show and the advert) but there were also sponsor messages for each section. So one movie could have several sponsors and several advert breaks some even during the credits at both beginning and end.

I don't honestly know how anyone could watch something over there on a regular channel.

# Australian TV is worse...
During Neighbours, they have an advert break between the last scene and the closing credits and then another one after the credits!

And the adverts are very, very cheap. Don't expect to see too many expensive Guinness/Mobile phone adverts, most of them will remind you of the adverts they used to put at the front of films:

"G'day, I'm Bob from "Bob's Garden Supplies" and have we got something for you etc etc"

# I used to like those ads.
After the film... how about a curry?

# This is the governments fault
they decide how much advertising is allowed per hour, and how many breaks are allowed.

I think it's now a max of 15-20 mins, max of 5 breaks per hour, and a max of 4 mins per break.

I was thoroughly enjoying the last bit of Flash Gordon on ITV4 on sunday when they stuck an ad break in, in the middle of scene less than 10 mins before the end of the film.
