Why not find a firm that does stewards for events. You get to see a few concerts a week and a football match every Saturday. Did some of that myself many moons ago in Manchester ( but for the concerts and freebies more than anything. Although there was a certain satisfaction throwing idiots back in their seats at the Nynex Arena )
There are plenty of jobs you can do. No need to start as partner in a firm ;)

and for no money. It's a good idea to have one actually. Go into the job centre or CAB and tell them you want a CSCS so that you can do general site labour. Do it man. Even if I were still trading and had a job for you, you'd still have to have that now or I could not pay you.

It's meant to be about safety and competence but it's actually a government scheme to stop people getting paid in the hand.

it's worth having and if you need skills and certificates ( there are many, even using a ladder needs certification now ) just get into the job centre and make them work for you finding placement on courses. That's their fucking job after all.
