Had a hui at Onuku (out of Akaroa) a couple of weeks back, that was pretty fucking nice for a city boy:

Folks in Christchurch are absurdly friendly I find
Was speakin to someone from State Insurance the other day, and she was so friendly and chatty I said "I bet you're from Christchurch" "yip yip!" was the reply. That's happened many times.
