So basically if you had murdered someone and wanted to dispose of the body by throwing it over board a yacht in weights so it sinks to the bottom, the pressure wouldn't crush the body, and hence evidence, for you?

but fish and other organisms would eat most of it rather quickly (the bones would last a bit longer)

I had wondered about a deep British lake, blowing up the corpse with explosives half way down, and letting the fish do the rest. But British cops are cunning. So I reckon three miles of ocean should do the trick; water pressure and fishes
