I think the bear is real but the background is fake.
Real backgrounds aren't more blurred than bears, and real backgrounds receive shadows.
It also explains why he got off the bike - probably had to go and slowly run up some steps or something.
I expect he thought nobody would believe that there was a bear outside his apartment building.

They do.
But the guy filming has clearly slowed it down so we won't find out that he is the genetically enhanced and extra drugged clone of Lance Armstrong.
