I guess basically you would just need to find what percentage of the population are 'celebrities' and compare it against unexpected death rates of the whole population. Theirs should be the same proportion. BUT you must also consider the whole 27 club thing, that famous people are more likely to be exposed to stuff that would bump them off early.

There may well be some nefarious secrets within the establishment, but bumping off Rik Mayall?
I think he was a sufficiently self-confident and outspoken character that he wouldn't have held back.
