Ibought some ceramic knives last year
and although they are good , they dont have the weight to make them feel good, sharp as a sharpe thing thats been sharpened but they dont get used as they dont feel right in the hand
also did you know they add metal particles to the ceramic so that they can be found on airport detectors?

Until about 1992, my dad worked at a ceramic research institute.
(No, really: there is such a thing.)
In the foyer, they had a display case, and one of the things in the case was a ceramic office-knife, half buried in a block of oak. Passing it one day, I mentioned how impressed I was by that... and was crestfallen to learn that they'd simply used half a blade and glued it to make it look like the wood had been stabbed.
