But they produce and consume a shit load of porn. Cheerleaders, even at high schools, are mainstream and massively sexualised. On their version of the quality game show that is Deal or No Deal the boxes are held and opened by scantily clad models. One of the biggest selling magazines year after year is the Sports illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Sex sells. The Pope shits in the woods. Whadaya want?

and a few others in the US are currently making and broadcasting shows with sexually explicit content. Not so sure about "prime-time", because I don't really know what that means any more now that most TV content is also available online.

In the US the question should be be are they showing it on network or cable. HBO and Showtime are cable which means swearing and nudity. Network TV has no swearing and nudity. So, it's all about which channel the pageant is on.
