"Ex-Muslim living in the middle east here with some explanation :

Technically raping a muslim woman is VERY haram. However if the rapist was married to the victim it's not rape, actually whatever he does to her is not haraam unless he hit her hard enough to leave permanent marks, if she refuses to sleep with him then according to islam angels will curse her all night long and if he rapes her then it's okay since she's his wife.

Raping non-Muslim women who belong to countries Muslims are NOT at war with is haram as well, HOWEVER muslims nowadays consider themselves at war with every country. During wars it's okay to claim women and children as slaves, technically the slaves should be distributed by the leader of the war along with and other loots but since it's not actually a war going on they just rape random women and justify it to themselves. In conclusion what the refugees are doing is TECHNICALLY haram, but not THAT haram. so it's cool with them.

That's said, most of the refugees who rape women don't do it under those justification, you have to remember that they were brought up in a fucked up society, some of them don't give a fuck about allah or islam but - while understanding rape is wrong - they don't grasp how wrong it is, they see it to be as bad as initiating a bar fight or sthn, and since they know that western women aren't virgins they can't fathom how it can affect her negatively (she lost her virginity anyway, what bad can it do?)

It's fucked up and the problem has many layers, as much as I hate Islam it's very naive to blame it all on it."

is that Reddit aims to make money from it, which makes it far far worse.
