I think they may have woken up to the reality
there never has been a 70,000 strong army of moderates, and virtually all the opponents of Assad's regime are hardcore religious nutters, except for the now semi-autonomous Kurds in the north.
Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of people have died in the turmoil America has encouraged. Way to go America

I'd really like to see those shitty gulf states reap what they have sown in terms of the jihadis turning up on their paymasters doorstep and wreaking havoc there.

Meanwhile
Asad is mopping up rural Dasmacus to free up resources to free Aleppo.
And the Kurds pulled the old one/two on Isis to push to within sight of Raqqa subburbs.
What have the US supported FSA done? Fight with other bearded fellows over beards?

Great isn't it.
The gulf Arabs are still being given the nod/wink by USA#1 to keep on funding their proxy jihadis in Syria and the poor little nutjobs are consistently getting hammered by the Assad coalition.
I wonder when the gulf funding will dry up, hopefully soon.

I think this is long over due
it might, you know, make them have a long hard think about the wisdom of encouraging jihad and wahhabism in general

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
...Assad is a winner and the right guy to lead Syria in wiping out all these jihadi scumbags and other foreign invaders.

I concur with this
We support plenty of questionable dictatorships and tyrants, why is he so different?
