This is a normal post It's what always happens
with successful media companies - they have a big panic and decide they should actually be branching out into doing things that are totally different from what they're actually good at.

This is a normal post Er, what's Buzzfeed good at?
Serious question, I'm baffled by its success. I mean, I don't like Huffpo, but I can see why people do, but Buzzfeed? Inexplicable.

This is a normal post It's good at getting clicks
and that's about it. But it works for them as a business model.

In fact, here's the 14 ways it works for them a business model (number 6 will blow your mind!)...

This is a normal post Hateful as Buzzfeed is,
these two articles were genuinely good: an interesting interview, and an honest-to-god scoop

This is a normal post Er
well I suppose the ambassador one was ok, poorly subbed though :‘as an ambassador really you should be at home with your children, and not being a full-time ambassador’.
The Uber one though? There's a dark side to PR? Who knew? I also think Uber get much more press coverage than they merit simply because of the tech dimension of their business. You can do your supermarket shop online but we don't get endless articles about that.

This is a normal post I seem to remember
that this was the first article that lifted the lid on the Uber culture, which might have been known about in various circles, but it certainly wasn't public knowledge how toxic the company was.

I'm not saying it's Woodward and Bernstein, though.
