What a bloody waste of half a perfectly good clock.
However, I'm pretty certain that after the 30 second mark, the clock tears open a dimensional rift to a plane of suffering and torment so hideously disturbing that even the sight of it would plunge the average Countdown viewer into the depths of pure unbridled insanity.
