What sort of infrastructure did you create, rather than steal and make bigger?
Radio? Nope. Television? Nope. Computers? Nope. Networking? Nope. I'll give you DARPA/Internet, but again all the groundwork was there for you with the networking invention... just stolen and made bigger.
The US takes other people's ideas, makes them lowest common denominator to suit their populous and then advertises the crass shit to other idiots, which unfortunately saturate the earth.
