I built a couple of pcs from bits bought at Mong Kok's golden market when I lived in HK. This guy says I could probably do this. I think not.

Would amuse me for an afternoon putting one together.
He effectively assembled a kit. Getting all the pieces was the hard part though.
I still think he should have gone for the bare board and components.
Used to enjoy board rework using a microscope with a video head. Poke component into place, squirt dots of solder paste and reflow with tiny nozzle hot air gun.
