It bounced off of the ground but didn't have any forward spin like I would expect it to.

I did wonder
but came to the conclusion that it was real. I don't think you'd be able to convincingly model the movement of that sapling it hits on the way through without a great deal of effort. The strike on the ground was a very low angle, and the door was heavily deformed by the initial blast, so I could understand why it wouldn't tumble as a result.
