This is a link post My dog discoverys the in-ground irrigation I made this!
I had to dig up several of the sprinkler heads that broke due to the freeze and was testing the system. Since I usually run the sprinklers at night to avoid excessive evaporation she had never seen them because they retract into the ground. She was barking at them the whole time and ended up digging around several of them.

That is all.

This is a normal post It's September and the damage occurred due to the freeze?
That repair was high on your list of priorities was it?

This is a normal post Well, we did have a rainy June and I have been "underemployed" so I needed time to raise the funds.

This is a normal post Four more sprinkler heads. We get a deep frost, so you have to dig down a foot and a half
And she is lovely. I've had two Brittanys and can't imagine ever owning another breed. They're game, obedient, great with babies and toddlers and will play anytime.

This is a normal post remarkable that you chose to install sprinklers on the other side of the road.
I like your dog. Looks a little like my half Springer half pointer. Don't do this btw - she doesn't know whether to flush or point.

This is a normal post They used to call them Brittany Spaniels, but decided they're more pointer than flusher.
Mine also does both - no squirrel, frog, or dragonfly is safe.

This is a normal post mine goes mental in large fields.
has to check every fucking corner.
Also powerless over chasing birds like swallows, martins and swifts flying low to catch insects. I have sat her down and explained slowly and clearly that she *cannot* catch swallows and she should save her energy for more useful pursuits, but does she fucking listen?

This is a normal post They need to be run and a large field is like heaven
Mine has caught a cock pheasant, who was too slow taking off and didn't notice her slinking up until too late. And she is constantly pulling birds out of bushes and crunching them before I can stop her. We have a pond across the way and she'll occasionally return with a small fish and eat it in the yard.

Much better than some lame dog that acts like a cat.
