sorry if it's in your tutorial- i skipped through it as i'm a bit busy, but do you have a constrictor before the air gets out in to the barrel? Is it worth trying that to see if it accelerated the air up to a faster pace?
Might increase muzzle velocity?
I used to shoot spring / piston airguns and they had a very small air outlet hole.

For the man that came up with 'we like the moon' it'd be my pleasure!
The piston is 95mm and goes down to 40mm in the barrel, this acts as the constrictor and accelerates the air. I couldn't make the piston barrel any larger as it would have been really unwieldy. I definitely want to do a pump action one, that'd be slightly cool! :-)
