I don't know if I'm looking into the past with rose tinted testicles, but when I was doing A-level economics and had to write coursework on whether or not we should join the Euro I recall all the broadsheets laying out fairly non-partisan, well considered for and against arguments.
I don't remember seeing much of anything on Brexit other than doom mongering from Remain and total shite from Leave and nothing of intellectual rigour from any media outlet.
tl;dr: I remember when all this was fields.

I mean it's total partisan bollocks but it is the information that was given to the public before the vote.
How can you forecast when you don't know the terms on how you're going to leave?
The only thing you could forecast on is the only situation where you have enough information on what will happen. That is a hard brexit, walking away and using WTO rules.
And if that's not been done it bloody well should have because it's looking more and more likely.

I treat anything that comes from politicians with the utmost skepticism regardless of their party affiliation.

If you want something fucking up, give it to a politician.
