It's almost as if judges have very limited discretion
and must follow sentencing guidelines that are designed specifically to avoid having what feels right to any particular person at a given time play a significant role in the administration of justice.

I've not read the case report, or the evidence presented, or the sentencing guidelines, or the pre-sentence report. Have you?
What I do know is that judges do not simply pull sentences from out of nowhere, and that Joseph J is an experienced judge.
