Only it's completely unnecessary
It's the great cookie panic of 2010 all over again. GDPRs interpretation of cookies/web data is flaky at best, and "consent" gained before 25th May or required for your business or site to operate effectively is perfectly valid without destroying ux and making your site completely unusable
