This is a normal post A Zil?
They put the engine from a Zil into a lada?

Those engines run on anything, you can just mix petrol diesel, cooking oil, whatever and they go OK and chug along. Multifuel, designed for the military in case you didn't have your preference of fuel wherever you were taking over.

I knew of a guy with one and he had a deal buying the diesel/petrol mix from when people put the wrong fuel into their car. Got the cost equivalent of 50mpg, although those engines only do 6-8mpg from what I remember.

This is a normal post A lot of cold war military engines were designed to be multifuel,
the Chieftain tank (when it ran) supposedly was, the American's used them in the M35 REO amongst other things too.
