If I had an food allergy that serious.
I wouldn't be eating anything at random restaurants.
I'd be getting treatment for it or preparing my own food.

Spot on. If I had something like that which could kill me no WAY would I eat at a restaurant and trust the staff to tell me "yeah it's OK" as if they know.
