This is a normal post Take it back
It has the CE mark on it, and shouldn't.

This is a normal post Why? What directive applies?
- soz, my mistake, hadn't watched the source video yet. Usually people thibk simple plugs need to be CE marked, and they don't, cause we don't have a harmonised set of standards for plugs and sockets.
Anyway, this thing needs to comply with fucking everything, cause it's full of scary features.
I would hate this to turn up on my test bench: so much to fail!

This is a normal post And the rest!
RoHS, EMC, ErP - they're all CE marking directives.

Don't reckon it'd pass any of plug or socket standards, though. Seen this sort of thing before - they never make it through the dimensional assessment.

This is a normal post Dimensional assessment sounds a lot cooler than it probably is.
