Explore the mint family, I use them on long neglected areas to hide redundant equipment and mask odours.

Thank you. Just had a quick browse of mint family members. Never knew there were so many. Do you have a favourite mint type? What would be good on my shitpatch do you reckon?

Red Mint (Mentha Rubra) tolerates various conditions.
Pineapple mint (Mentha Suavolens) is a variegated one.
Both about 50cm high (in ideal conditions) and invasive as hell.

I put some spare mint from the supermarket in a corner of a windowbox to save it. Within a couple of months it had completely taken the box over. I dread to think what it does if let loose...

Ideal for contained spaces with poor soils and little attention.
I have seen them send shoots (stolons) out of the bottom of pots through the drainage holes and off into surrounding soil.
