Carpet in the bathroom? since when has that been a good idea?

1975 I think
we had bathroom carpet (rubber backed seemingly) everywhere including the entire floor and up the side of the bath as well as a bath mat and toilet set (fluffy carpet for the front of the loo and top of the seat. It was actually very cosy and made the bathroom a really nice place to be as long as nobody pissed on the floor.
