... is the “vegan cat” syndrome.
I’ve worked with people with disabilities for 17 years, and it’s absolutely right that people with learning disabilities deserve a political voice, but in practice they end up being mouthpieces for the organisations that they happen to have become involved with. And it’s absolutely the case that some of the most well known disability related charities are ethically dubious and have some shoddy practice.
