I got this far. It seems File Explorer has issues that command line doesn't though. So, we're both right! *cuddles*

This is a normal post There are a number of factors at play.
Your example above is a UNC format path, which doesn't exhibit the problem, but trying to write to that using a DOS style path (which is often the default) will cause issues, even using the command line and on standard Windows 10.

I did it all via CMD and md and cd.

I think the limit is in File Explorer which does complain where CMD or PowerShell or Git Bash don't
