As a piece of visual theatre it was great.
Derelict Cabbagepatch© was ace as the creature.
BUT, unless you're familiar with the story of jumped about too much to be of any use.

I liked his spasming but thought he was a bit hammy with the dialogue
Lee Miller's monster was better I thought, plus Cumberbatch is always better suited to the weaselly scientist role.
