Got a hole in my glove while using 10-15% NaOH solution.
The entire fingerprint on my thumb sloughed off over the next couple of days, leaving a smooth red surface which cracked, took weeks to heal.
Technician dropped a Winchester (2.5l) of chloroform, three of us mopped in rotation, changing over as we got too wasted.

I remember well the soapy feel of conc. NaOH between my fingers.
Fortunately it wasn’t much of it and a tap was nearby.

I use it for removing warts.
Done carefully, (micro prills placed on top) I get less tissue damage than other methods and far better than the brutal freezing technique. Speed the process up by applying a flame.
