Whilst I remember her hits from when I was a kid,
it's only in recent years that I've become fully aware just how good her stuff from back then is.

I had a similar thing with yoko ono, who when I was growing up was widely regarded as some witch who broke up the beatles
But she was quite an interesting artist before she met john, the more I looked into her work, and the fact she came out of a highly conformist japanese culture impressed me even more
