This is a normal post I have two guesses.
Paranoid guess: The mouse knows that when the tub reaches a certain weight, food will be released via the wire/string contraption seen behind/above the tub.
Projected paranoia guess: There is food in the tub and he is burying it to prevent other mice from stealing his stash.
