Apparently you don't understand freezing water + heat either.
You see a lot of these people in the mornings with a kettle's worth of water frozen solid to their car windscreens. And they swear it works, and they'll do it again.

He's making warm water though.
Rather than move the frozen water out of the way, he's making it denser and more slippery.
