I had heard or read about it before (I'm cool like that)
but I think it all ended quite badly (turns out ice is a shockingly bad building foundation), and I think the reactor might still be there....

Robert McFarlane mentions it
in Underland, but only in passing; one gets the feeling that there's a fair bit more he could have said had he had access. And, yes, there is a load of stuff still there.
