not sure he deserved the fan cult build around him. I reckon certain kinds of people gravitate to anyone they consider "anti-woke", for want of a better term. And to be fair to Norm, he navigated a clever line without straying into bernard manning/freddie star territory, a lot of his trolling was quite gentle
