I think it's a way to (hopefully) monetize the project. The UX hurdle is massive, it essentially pins it into a niche.
But *if* it takes off, then the reward for the creators will outweigh the traditional model of just throw it up online and get a few peanuts.

As far as I can tell, most NFTs that sell are heavily marketed to be fashionable, rather than actually any good.
I mean, those (presumed) alt-right monkeys are utterly shit, and I don't think they are selling because people like the art or want to support a creative, sadly.
Anyway, I liked lots of the nonsense your bot generates. If the NFT angle doesn't work out - set it free!
