Being very competent in one area doesn't guarantee wisdom or empathy.
I think a lot of the politics is shit stirring for the lols mixed with being a 'maverick'.
PS I doubt he builds the rockets on his own, it would take ages.

He hired the people to do it. Having some ideas doesn't make you a fucking genius just because you can throw money at it. Even still, being successful in one arena doesn't suddenly make you capable in all others by default

Weird how nobody else did it before him, given how much talent and money the space launch industry had at their disposal. (Pun intended.)
He does though. Of course he has employed rocket engineers, technicians, computer programmers, etc., because he runs a company that designs, builds and launches reusable rockets.
Someone can be a twat, a billionaire, AND a successful rocket surgeon. Acknowledging his positives doesn't take away from the negatives.
