Also, I've just put £500 down on Kemi Badenoch to replace Rishi Sunack. I'm convinced that the Tories will see putting a relatively young black woman in the driving seat as being a 100% surefire way to win over young voters as Labour flounder under the suffocating weight of 'Great British Energy' and the fact they'll have fuck all money to do anything without raising everybody's taxes.
The £1200 might take some of the sting out of that for a month or two. For me, at least.

I wouldn't discount the racism of the members.
They will need to work out a new system for choosing a leader anyway, maybe they won't ask them this time.

Politics is one of the few bloodsports still allowed.
I'd prefer a more boring politics where people fixed stuff rather than jockeying for position most of the time. Fighting culture wars and thinly disguised corruption should be left to the Americans, we have our own British class system to oppress each other with.

she'd probably pull a few back from reform, granted, but she's pretty fringe with her views. hardline thatcher-poster-on-the-wall ex-fund manager brexiteer who hates teh gays isn't going to appealing to the centre left despite her well documented blackness. Kemi got the least number of backers in the last leadership spill, knocked out in the first round. Glad it's your money, though given all the scratchings I guess she's in with a chance
