This is a normal post If this doesn’t motivate the Democrats to ditch Biden they might as well just concede right now.

This is a normal post Neither the Trump shooting or Biden verbal flubs are going to change anyone's vote IMHO.

This is a normal post So the fact that multiple senior Democrats are talking about ditching Biden since his verbal flubs is just jibber jabber?

This is a normal post That's not what I said.

Biden wasn't popular with progressives in the last election either but left leaning supporters understood that he polled well against Trump and they're ultimately voting for left policies and administration versus right ones.

Keeping or replacing Biden, nor what is shaping up to be a registered 2A Republican with a history of mental illness that was goaded into being a pedo hunter by online trolls, would likely garner a wave of sympathy that changes left votes to Trump and the right's plans.

The knee-jerk online reaction that this will easily hand Trump the election are either naive, over-sensationalized, or disinfo.

This is a normal post Ok, well argued.
I think there will now be little or no Right inclined voter apathy, whereas if Biden remains the candidate Left inclined apathy will be very high. Also, you completely discount the phenomenon of swing voters. They really do exist, and they can and do make a difference. To people like you and me it is insane that someone could vote Biden one election then Trump the next, and vice versa, but it happens. In most places these loons don’t make a difference, but in the so called swing states… Plus some people will feel sorry for Trump, and admire him for carrying on. This only helps him.

This is a normal post Fair enuff.

Yeah there are certainly some voters who are disenfranchised with both parties (like me) but they're still a small percentage of our deeply divided nation made artificially close by our highly gerrymandered voting districts.

I personally believe ranked choice voting or a straight up popular vote would yield higher quality candidates who better represent the common good but think it'll take more hardship before we see those kinds of reforms, unfortunately.
