It used to be fairly right wing, occasionally reactionary, this is definitely not the case any more. But the most remarkable change has been Kay batshit Burley. She used to be, even by my standards, rabid in her right wing rants. I found some of her interviews in particular unhinged and unreasonable. Now she’s gone completely the other way politically. It’s all just performative I guess, but in both roles she always comes over as an utter cunt.

it occasionally covers it, though usually only when it has some impact on a wider story as it has tiny audiences, about 20,000 viewers for their top rating show.
though it does like to end on a lighter note after a heavier piece, and sky-after-dark provides plenty of fodder for that in a fish/barrel sort of way
I should add that sky news Australia is still owned by murdoch's news corp, while sky UK got bought out by Comcast in 2018, which accounts for much of the editorial divergence

Rowan Dean, who also edits the Spectator Australia (hi prufrock), is particularly unhinged. They fired his co-presenter after calling chinese "slanty-eyed yellow-skinned" which apparently was even too much for Sky, but Dean himself is a litany of almost comical misogyny, race-baiting and whatever alt-right bullshit is flavour of the week
