In the 60s AT&T built a series of bunkers across the USA along a communications line to ensure comm's after a nuclear war. Nowadays you can buy them.
This is a tour of a well maintained one (for sale if you have $1.5 million).
Then this video m.youtube.com/watch?v=4H8ogjvjS7s is semi-derelict one being explored somewhere else, but both bunkers have the same layout and design so it's like some time travelling found footage student film.

God will grant you a bunker, as long as you're willing to share it with two of every kind of animal, and don't mind a bit of a nuclear war upstairs

he'd done some work to it but ultimately got bored with it
Bunkers are interesting, but with no natural light and only one exit, I don't fancy living in one

Well they suggested it would make a good wine cellar. If you want a wine cellar in the middle of a field, of course.
