I can tolerate (and I mean tolerate!) this style
Where to my ear the note sits at the correct pitch for a significant percentage of the time, and makes periodic deviations away from it, in this case it sounds like it's slightly higher.
What I can't bear is when the note wavers both above and below the correct pitch without staying on it for any period of time. The overwhelming impression is that the singer can't hold the note so they're compensating by wavering about somewhere near it, going both sharp and flat.
