For assumedly the same reason YT recently tries to show me American trials, American cops arresting mostly black people, compilations of American and British uniformed thugs assaulting or being rude to the public, and a lot of similar right wing social justice crap. If I ever get caught in the Shorts trap, they try to show me loads of American violent revenge fantasy film clips.
It's almost as if the algorithm is trying to turn me into an angry and afraid Brexity /links weirdo.
