
Where you start from the top and slow down your descent as much as you can to end up in a hang?
It's a LOT harder to train doing your first pullup without training the muscles to hold your weight at every extension point first.
It helps a lot with your exact issue, starting from a dead hang...

Yes have been doing those for around 8 weeks. And now doing pull downs with a weighted vest, on a purple band.
