I remember now my friend was in a standup competition (before he was famouse) with a few people, lycett was in there as well. he completely ignored everybody in the green room whilst every else was chatting and like "good luck mate"
and yeah the 'phobe' defence on anything is just poor. "if you don't agree 100% with us you're a phobe and bigot and want us dead"... fucks sake. its a bit moustache party.
