This is a normal post Excellent stuff, but there is a notable exception
Sebo vacuum cleaners, which I discovered by dragging a discarded one out of a skip. Not only are spares readily available, they're cheap enough that a UK supplier is building a popular but discontinued model almost entirely from spares. Yes, they're about 50% more expensive than the original but I reckon that with most consumer goods you'd be looking at several times the cost to do the same thing.
Oh, and it's also the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. My collection of "damaged but a bit pricey to repair" Dysons were cheerfully dispatched to the tip!

Every spare part is still available, and they’re often common across multiple models (or generations) It’s built to last and is extremely easy to work on.

Dysons are the benchmark for marketing over functionality bullshit. Millions fall for the overpriced shit vacuum cleaners, and then buy another one next year each time it breaks.

This is a normal post I hear that Shark are just as bad.
Very few spare parts shared between models and production of spares stops shortly after a new model is released.

I was tempted to get one of those G-Tech battery powered hoovers when our current one eventually dies, since the handheld one I have is decent enough but that fucking advert has put me off G-Tech forever.

i inherited one from my dad when he carked it, and it sucks, in a good way
not sure about all the hype and i'd never fork out that much retail if I had to buy it myself, it's just a vacuum cleaner. Also seems top heavy and would snap if it ever fell, but so far i've avoided that. but it does a good job on carpets. could do with flexible attachment for the car, though. Didnt think of that one, did you mr design genius?
