NVScene Demo Winner - Stargazer
I've just been catching up on this summers demo parties....
For those with an interest (and a decent graphics card) it's worthwhile checking this out. It's clean and very pretty.
The download links from scene org are always slow to link through- but once going you can get a meg easily - the Dutch ones are fastest for me.

I've not seen one of these since the 90s.

That pretty much sums it up! They are getting a little bit artier, perhaps, and using physics...
Also over the last 3-4 years the props n creds screens have all but disapeared...

Sadly...
...a lot of them need an accelerated Falcon, and even the stock ones are kinda hard to find.

I was going to buy one from a friend - he claimed it could do the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs! I told him that with modding like that the clutch was liekly to burn out. In the end it was the dog hairs that stopped me buying it.
(surely emulation is ok)

The Falcon is quite hard to emulate because of the custom chips (ViDEL, 56001 DSP). It's getting there but it's not ready yet.
Shame...
