
They have nerves which will make them aware of adverse situations, but they don't feel pain. More importantly, they don't have an advanced neural system to evoke a stress response. So in all honesty it wouldn't make that much difference.

I dont care for insects either but I bet they do feel pain, just because they maybe don't perceive it as we do doesn't prove your argument and neither does a degree in Zoology.
