pull back was in post. i'd love to have the equipment to motorise that sort of thing though... especially a track of some sort, for smooth sideways motion. that'd be cool for maybe a populated outdoor sunset.

You want a motorized alt-azimuth mount.
Used for tracking telescopes across the sky, perfect for slow camera work.
