thanks for the positive comments guys
it's inspired me to go out and complete the project during August! I'm thinking hills/wandering people/sunsets. Might need a few more exposure tests first, and location scoutage, but watch this space!
edit: popular page, thank you guys, really didn't expect that for a test shot - those proper time-lapse landscapes will certainly be coming soon then...

now doing a zoomed-in sideways scroll as the next test
just worried that the lack of parallax will make it look less natural. probably would be ok for more distant and substantial subjects. maybe a gentle zoom increase would be better for now, just the same thing as this, but opposite.
edit: it's the first time i've done this, and it's really nice to have the freedom of 15mp images to zoom in and pan around. beats using a video camera i should think, at least for post-prod freedom.
